"Post-Nuclear Survival Handbook" is a satirical art book reimagining Cold War survivalist Cresson H. Kearny's work in the context of modern political instability. Inspired by events like the January 6 insurrection, the invasion of Ukraine, and rising global tensions, the book examines the renewed fears of nuclear conflict through a conceptual, visually provocative approach.
The handbook combines AI-generated 3D illustrations with Kearny’s original line drawings, printed on transparent tracing paper and 150g/m² white paper, bound with silver rings and enclosed in a natural cardboard cover. This minimalist design employs overlay illustrations and brief, impactful captions to evoke a dystopian feel.
This work was exhibited at the MU Design Summer Show @ CLB Gallery in Berlin.
